The recent Israeli strike in Doha on the Hamas terrorist and it’s subsequent criticism and condemnation has exposed the United Nations double standards and lack of will power to stand by the truth and do the needful.
United Nation’s charter denounces any country harboring, supporting and allying with terrorists. But they are condemning Israel for following same rule.
On September 20th 2025, United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres said that the world should not be intimidated by Israel and should take steps against their aggression in Gaza and threats to annex the occupied West Bank without fear of retaliation.
Antonio Guterres said:
“With or without doing what we are doing, [Israel’s] actions would go on and at least there is a chance to mobilize international community to put pressure for them not to happen,” he said, adding that “what we are witnessing in Gaza is horrendous.”
“It is the worst level of death and destruction that I’ve seen my time as Secretary-General, probably my life and the suffering of the Palestinian people cannot be described – famine, total lack of effective health care, people living without adequate shelters in huge concentration areas,”
Now, Qatar offered sanctuary to Hamas terrorists from where the orchestrate terror on the state of Israel. This consequently warranted the Israelis attack on Hamas in Doha.
As this Israelis action has drawn wide range of condemnations against Israel especially from United Nations, it has exposed the United Nations hypocrisy and double standards.
Let us look at these few instances:
America killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan and was praised. America has never been condemned by United Nations for violating Pakistan sovereignty.
Again, United Kingdom attacked Isis in Syria and there was no condemnation.
France attacked the jihadis in Mali and they commended.
Burkina Faso and Mauritania and were praised.
The question now is: why must the United Nations condemn or criticize Israel?
Israel did the right thing and should be praised and congratulated. They are justified. No matter where terrorists lodged, they should be fished out.ooo
Nevertheless, Report Nigeria is in support of whatever will bring peace between Israel and their counterparts.
