A one-year-old boy was left with a swollen and bloodied face after he was beaten at his own daycare center in Indiana.

Jesse Harris IV, who also suffered cuts to his face and both of his eyes, had to be hospitalized for his injuries.

Tiffany Griffin was so angry when she saw her baby’s face that she punched an employee at the Kiddie Garden daycare in Indianapolis on Monday.

Griffin said she was called to return to the daycare center just hours after she dropped off Jesse and her older son, according to Fox 59.

She heard her baby screaming the minute she arrived at the center and punched a 22-year-old employee who claimed that a two-year-old girl had hurt Jesse.

Haben Ghebremichael, the owner of Kiddie Garden, claims that the girl had blood on her hands after the attack.

Ghebremichel said it wasn’t uncommon for the girl to act out, but that ‘the extent of the injuries just blows our minds’.

When Griffin arrived at the daycare center, she filmed a Facebook Live video to show the extent of her son’s injuries.

‘This is how my baby looks, this other baby got blood all on her,’ she said. ‘This is my son, this is what happens at childcare.’

‘I’m trying to keep my composure, this baby got blood all over her, but look at my baby. My one-year-old full of f*****g blood, and another baby full of blood.’

But Griffin remains unconvinced that the two-year-old was responsible for Jesse’s injuries.

‘It’s no way a baby, a two year old, and that baby was small and she didn’t look like she was the violent type,’ Griffin told Fox 59.

‘Her mom said she wasn’t the violent type and her mom said scratches her baby might do, but when she saw that picture [of Jesse’s face] she started crying.’

‘She said her baby wouldn’t do anything like that.’

The police report now lists the 22-year-old woman as a suspect. Kiddie Garden has revealed she has since been fired as a result of the one year old baby beaten.

‘We are deeply saddened about what took place yesterday afternoon to Jesse,’ a statement from Ghebremichel read on Tuesday.

‘Kiddiegarden has never had any accusations of abuse or maltreatment from any of our children or parents. This was truly a sad, shocking and unfortunate event.’

Ghebremichel said the center has been ‘diligently working with law enforcement, child protective services, as well as state agencies’ following the incident.

‘We have been fully cooperative and transparent with law enforcement to complete their investigation,’ she added.

‘Our hearts go out to Jesse and his family and are praying for his well being.’

‘I couldn’t protect him,’ she said. ‘I’ve been going to school for two years and I just got him into daycare, just when I call myself getting stuff on track.’

‘Now I gotta be a stay-at-home mom and not do the thing I want to do to advance in life to give them the best in order to make sure they’re taken care of and not neglected.’
