A deadly bomb blast has hit Kabul mosque during last Friday prayers.

The blast occurred in the Sher Shah Suri mosque in Kart-e-Char area of PD4 in western part of the capital Kabul city.

However, this happened during Friday prayers.

According to Afghanistan’s interior ministry, not less than four people including prayer leader were killed and many others wounded.

Explosives which were placed inside the Sher Shah Suri Mosque exploded during Friday prayers. Nevertheless, the mosque’s prayer leader Azizullah Mofleh was among the dead.

A Facebook user stated thus:

Another Blast, Another Mosque martyrs another Imam and worshipers. It’s disappointing! 💔 What does the killing of worshipers mean? Actually, the war against whom and why? If I was alive and one day, peace is established here, then, I will change my name, I will call my name “Peace”! #Kabul #Afghanistan

However, no group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.  But a mosque attack earlier this month was claimed by an ISIL (or ISIS) group affiliate, headquartered in eastern Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province.
