NCDC: COVID 19 CASES IN NIGERIA JUMPS TO 174

The ongoing Sit At Home in Nigeria may not end soon as NCDC confirms new cases of coronavirus.

Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has reported 23 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing the national total to 174. 

Health Minister acknowledges Ncdc confirmed new cases of coronavirus.

The NCDC, on its twitter handle said of the 23 new cases, nine were from Lagos, seven at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, five in Akwa Ibom, one in Kaduna and one in Bauchi. 

“Twenty-three new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 9 in Lagos, 7 in the FCT, 5 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Bauchi State 

“As at 08:00pm 1st April there are 174 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths,” it said. This is coming even as Akwa Ibom State recorded its first case of COVID-19 patient..

” For a breakdown of cases by states in real-time, currently; Lagos- 91, FCT- 33, Osun- 14, Oyo- 8, Ogun- 4, Edo- 4, Kaduna- 4, Enugu- 2, Bauchi- 3, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-1, Akwa Ibom- 1 and Benue- 1. “As at 08:00pm 1st April there are 174 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths,”
