AMATEUR FOOTBALL STAR DIES OF CORONAVIRUS

Coronavirus has snatched another African sports icon. This time, it is Emmanuel Harrison, Ghanaian amateur football star.

Emmanuel Harrison has been confirmed dead in Italy on Monday, March 30, after he was hospitalized for 10 days according to a report on Yen.com.gh.

Coronavirus has snatched another African sports icon. This time, it is Emmanuel Harrison, Ghanaian amateur football star.

Nevertheless, he died at the Oglio Po Hospital in Vicomoscano, a town within the northern state of Lombardia.

It was gathered that the Ghanaian played for a few amateur teams, including Maffei, where he led the attack.

Apart from being a footballer, Harrison also operated a forklift at an area factory, EmiliaNa Parati.

Emmanuel, the amateur football star worked at the Emiliana Parati in Vicomoscano.

The head of Sports at Despite Media, Mr. Dan Kwaku Yebooah shared the sad news on his Instagram page.

Kwaku Yebooah stated thus:

“Ghanaian amateur footballer, Emmanuel Harrison, has died of coronavirus in Italy.

However, the African footballer, Emmanuel Harrison left behind his wife and three children.

However, about thirty-one coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Ghana have recovered from the deadly coronavirus, the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu has said.

Agyeman Manu made the announcement on Tuesday morning, stating that the recovery has brought down the number of persons in isolation to 121.

Ghana’s first recovery case was a Chinese national who flew into the country in March.
